About six years ago Alicia and I began making Christmas trees for the Wadsworth Atheneum's annual Festival of Trees.

This year we made a tree of hundreds of plastic toy soldiers wire to  a inverted tomato cage covered with chicken wire. We used various shades of green to make a camouflage effect and accented it with red and silver soldiers. The 'star' top was made using two toy jets. It received the third place people's choice award.
